Solar Photovoltaic |
Solar Photovoltaic uses energy from the sun to create electricity, which can be used for appliances in the home and for lighting. Solar PV does not require refuelling and does not emit any pollution. For the environment – because there is no greenhouse gases emitted this can save 325kg of carbon dioxide emissions each year. For Solar PV the Energy Saving Trust provides grants through the major demonstration programme, details of which can be found at: http://www.solarpvgrants.co.uk |
Grants – Get help with Money |
Please visit The Energy Saving Trust website which encourages the use of more fuel effecient methods for transport and better insulation for homes and buildings, as well as strongly promoting renewable energy. They advise on independent information for the advantages of sustainable energy related services and believe they can save 20% of an average energy user's consumption, meaning a saving of as much as £250/year on energy bills. http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk |
